Pastor Mike and Family
My wife, Brenda, and I met at college and were married in 1975. Time has flown (it always does when you are having fun!) and we have now been married for thirty three years. We have eight children which God has blessed us with. Our three oldest children, Amy, Joshua, and Nathan, are grown and married with their own little families living in various parts of the country and world. Unbelievably, we are now grandparents of four wonderful grandchildren! Five teens are still at home, which helps keep life interesting and vibrant. Joseph is attending The Master’s College, a fantastic, small Christian school. Maima, our oldest daughter from Africa, is working a full time job. Shannah, Matu, and Sam, also from Africa, are all seniors in high school involved in their various activities.
God has blessed us as a family in so many ways. Our children have been our greatest joy as we have had opportunities to learn of God’s ways and serve others as a family. Our passion as a couple is to pass the baton of love for God on to the next generation. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7

My passion for serving the Lord began as an eleven year old boy at Bible camp. I remember well that time in my childhood when I committed my life to Christ to serve Him in whatever way He desired. I was blessed with an outstanding education, graduating first from Los Angeles Baptist College, then completing the Masters of Divinity degree at Northwest Baptist Seminary in Tacoma, WA.
Ministry opportunities that God has blessed me with include 22 years as a team pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Tacoma, eleven short term missions trips, and five years in inter-church pastoral ministries with Timothy Ministries.
